The Information Professionals Association, in cooperation with the National Defense University (NDU) College of Information and Cyberspace (CIC), conferred the Order of Hermes Award on Colonel Trent Corbett of the New Zealand Defense Force. Colonel Corbett has served in the New Zealand Army for over 27 years, and was recognized for his special contributions to understanding in the field of cognitive and information warfare through the production of a robust work entitled “Confronting Disordered Information in Aotearoa New Zealand.” This paper was selected by a faculty board at NDU judging competitive Individual Student Research Papers (ISRP) for recognition while he served as an International Fellow at the National Defense University’s College of Information and Cyberspace in Washington, DC. In addition to his award of the Order of Hermes, he was also selected for the Chancellors Award as the top student in the entire CIC program for his 2023 cohort.
