Biography

LtGen (r) Dennis Crall has been a long-standing pioneer for the DOD Information Enterprise, serving with distinction at every level—leaving an indelible imprint across the DOD Joint Force.  He has sucessfully conceived, championed, and led a host of plans, programs and operations from the tactical to strategic levels over the last two decades in the evolution of the DOD IO journey.  He is THE noted senior leader who independently stepped forward as a change agent—to thoughtfully offer pathways to improve DOD policy, capability and priority of effort for an otherwise dispirate information enterprise construct.  LtGen Crall challenged the status quo, formulated new pathways and presented options to improve DOD organizational constructs, efficiencies and capability development intended to close existing gaps and accelerate improvement for OIE outcomes.

A Pioneer— LtGen Crall significantly contributed to evolution of Information Operations through series of key assignments of increasing responsibility in both conflict and stability.  He led the advancement of USSOCOM IO as a planner/strategist, led evolution of CYBER and IO at USCENTCOM as Cyber Leader and J39, and continued to influence DOD IO in various key positions in the USMC, OSD and Joint Staff.  He tirelessly championed, and continues to lead the information mission area though a host of obstacles and challenges.

LtGen Crall has significantly contributed to the Information community and enterprise as a leader, mentor, innovator and change agent.  His influence resonates across the entire enterprise and is absolutely appropriate that IPA recognize him on behalf of all the Information Professional community.
